H

EARTfelt Greetings, dear friends of the protection and control engineering! In a recent letter Schneider Electric declares the discontinuation of its MICOM P30 compact series. The compact series will therefore only be available until the end of 2017.

The official letter from Schneider states:

Discontinuation of the MiCOM P30 compact series

Dear Sir or Madam,

With this letter we would like to inform you about the extension of the product series Easergy MiCOM P30.

In addition to the well-known Easergy MiCOM P132 overcurrent protection, the Easergy MiCOM P433 distance protection and the Easergy MiCOM P631 transformer differential protection are now also available in a narrow 24TE package.

In addition to the proven fixed-integrated protection functions and the well-known serial communication protocols, these devices can be equipped with the latest Ethernet technology. In addition to the communication standards IEC61850 Edition 1 and Edition 2 as well as IEC60870-5-104 and VLAN, these devices offer a high level of IT security functions in accordance with the BDEW Whitebook.

With up to 10 binary inputs and 14 signal outputs, as well as suitable mounting adapters for existing solutions, the 24-bit protective devices have significantly greater flexibility.

In addition to the benefits of the 24TE devices, we are forced by the manufacturing setting of the Intel386 processor solution, the production of the series MiCOM P30 compact on 31.12.2017 set.

Order receipts of this product range until 31.12.2017 are delivered until 28.02.2018. The repair and spare parts service will take place until at least 31.12.2027.

We look forward to a continued successful and trusting cooperation!

Sincerely, Schneider Electric GmbH
