EARTfelt Welcome, dear friends of protection and control engineering. The power system protection centre of the Netherlands invites you to the second workshop Relay Protection in the Future that will be held on February 20, 2019 at the TU Delft, Delft, The Netherlands.
The increased penetration level of distribution generation in power systems makes the power supply, power demand and possible disturbances very unpredictable. By deploying more renewables, power systems of the future face major changes and as such important subjects are the suitable protection schemes and the protection coordination of power systems where the fault current waveforms and amplitudes are very different than those in classical power systems.
Experts from utilities, manufacturers and academia will convey their recent experience related to the latest developments of the relay protection in distribution and transmission grids.
