ELCOME dear friends of protection,- control- and electrical engineering. A new software version has been available for the OMICRON CT Analyzer for a few days. OMICRON has invested intensive efforts to further improve the user experience in dealing with the CTA.

Wiring diagram for multi ratio CTs
The wiring diagram for multi-ratio CTs has been improved:

File name pattern
More parameters of the current transformer can now be included into the default file name pattern.
Burden cos phi
In the customized assessment, flexible burden cos phi values (not limited to those of the international

CT Analyzer PC Software Upgrade Option
With the PC Software Upgrade Option, new functionality that makes your workflow even more effective, will be available.
Multi-test view
It is now possible to open multiple tests at once in the CT Analyzer PC software in individual document tabs. Like this, comparing settings and results of several measurements (e.g. in between different phases or cores) becomes easier.
Advanced reporting
With Advanced Reporting, multiple tests can be integrated into one test report. As an example, this is handy for CT units that have multiple cores, or when reports are required which compare the results from all phases, or any other use case that requires a report creation in bulk or in combination of several measurements.
Reporting template designer
Excel®-based reporting templates can now be easily customized with the new reporting template designer.
Results simulation / re-calculation without connected device
With the upgrade option it is now also possible to perform a results simulation / re-calculation with the PC software only (without necessarily having the CT Analyzer device connected).
Where can I get the new software?
The new software and firmware version 5.10 is available for download free of charge from the OMICRON customer portal.
In addition to already existing functionality of the CT Analyzer Suite (such as controlling test execution with the PC and creating basic reports), the CT Analyzer PC Software Upgrade Option is now available.
